Since I was very young, there were 3 things I wanted to be, an artist a musician and a truck driver. I started my illustration business in 1975 and by the mid 80's I was also doing fine art and showing in galleries around Portland Oregon. In 2000 I was picked up by a traveling art rep and was selling art across the United States. In 2007 the art world as I knew it evaporated as the economy crashed. So I had to get a real job. That's where truck driving came in. Long hours on the road allowed time to explore my songwriting hobby. I've been writing songs since my 20's and it seemed that truck driving was going to take me down a new road of creativity. On the occasions I was home, I started going to open mics. In 2013 I was introduced to Portlands Artichoke Music community. In 2014 I started the Songwriters Review, a showcase for NW singer songwriters. I've been privileged to play with some wonderfully creative singer songwriters over the past few years and hope to continue for many years to come.
